Austin Leal

Austin Leal is a Master's student in computer science with a machine learning specialization at the Georgia Institute of Technology graduating in May 2019. Austin also earned a BS in computer science at the Georgia Institute of Technology with threads in Systems & Architecture and Theory. He received a certificate in the Spanish language. He has interests in machine learning, high performance computing, and operating systems.

Austin has experience in developing for the web through an internships at Addepar, Amazon, and Cisco Systems and in developing Android applications through working on multiple team-based projects. He is well-versed in Java, C, Verilog, Python, Matlab, HTML, and CSS.

Since January 2018, Austin has been the team lead for the electronics team for HyperJackets at GT, Georgia Tech's Hyperloop pod competition team.

Outside of school, Austin enjoys participating in multi-cultural events and learning to play the piano.
